Our story
Born from a restless night.
SOVENA started the way most honest things do — out of frustration. Night after night, I'd wake up hot, sticky, tangled in pajamas that promised softness on the label and delivered plastic on the skin.
I'd flip the pillow. Kick the covers off. Pull the top away from my chest to let some air in. And in the morning I'd look at the brand tag and find the same word, over and over — polyester. 100% polyester. A fabric that doesn't breathe, on a body that needs to, like, yes, a blend of it is fine, as it stops wrinkles and pulls sweat off the skin, but most of these brands were 90 to 100%!
It didn't make sense. The biggest names in sleepwear were selling beautifully styled pieces designed to suffocate the women wearing them. So I went looking for the opposite — fabrics that move with your temperature, weights that don't cling, cuts made for a body that's trying to actually rest.
That's SOVENA. Breathable viscose, cool rayon, and soft cotton that drapes instead of sticks. The AIR collection was born: pieces designed for women who sleep warm, who run hot, who've spent years thinking the problem was them when really the problem was the fabric. We just use a nice poly-blend for our CLOUD products, our fashion-oriented pieces designed to breathe as well.
